This is not my first planted tank, but it is my first high tech planted aquarium. It originally started with just low light plants such as water sprite, Java fern, and Java moss. Over time, it has grown into a beauty that sits in my room as a show aquarium. The funny thing about my aquarium is that not many people expect me to be so into and know as much as I do about the hobby. When I, being an 18 year old, tell someone that I have a 125 G planted tank, not one person I have told has expected to see what they saw when they step into my room.
My favorite fish in the aquarium is a tie between my boesemani rainbows and my wild Peruvian angels. Both species have such personality to them. I enjoy watching the boesemanis flaring up at each other and spreading their fins as they dart across the aquarium. The Peruvians, on the other hand, have such flowing fins, and I believe they are the most beautiful angel, after the altum of course.
