Interactive Coral Reef

Corals are now among the most wanted living beings for decoration of home reef aquariums. It took many decades for scholars and hobbyists to understand and develop the necessary conditions to grow healthy corals in captivity, but we are now entering fully into the "Coral Era" of the fishkeeping hobby. Many species can now be kept and propagated even by relatively beginner aquarists, as long as a minimal amount of study time is invested. In fact, that's exactly what I've been doing recently, in preparation for this section and for a (hopefully near) future reef tank.

In the meantime, I'm going to need your help with this section, not as much with respect to photos (I already have almost 100 beautiful images sent to me by visitors), but mainly with respect to accurate information about each species. Tell us all you know about the species you have experience with, and please suggest the correction of any information that you feel is inaccurate. At the end of each page there's a link for you to submit your own comments about that species. Any appropriate and significant comment will be added to the page in a week or two, including a credit with a link to the contributor. There's also another link for you to post a question or request on the Discussion Forum, which has two Marine & Reef rooms. Please do not send questions or requests by e-mail...they will be ignored by an ignorant! :-)
