Aquarium Pharmaceuticals - Stress Coat

Whenever I buy a new fish I use this to treat the water. The general concept behind it - provide vital ingredients to support or kickstart an ailing or stressed fish's slime coat - seems to be a good idea so I use it after water changes and along with medications for sick fish as well.

I also have used Stress Coat with great luck. It was recommended to me when starting my daughter's first tank by another shopper while I was looking at stuff to dechlorinate the water. I have since found that it is great for fish with nipped fins, stressed, or when adding new fish. I use it with all water changes and throw a few extra squirts into tank if there are any issues. I have even squirted it directly onto fish when they needed it.

Well I used Stress Coat when I first started working with aquariums a while ago. It worked great. I never had any problems with it, but never noticed anything special about it. Then all the sudden our fish store stopped carrying it, so I switched to Aqua Safe. A few weeks after switching, I noticed the fish were scratching all the time, lost their shine, and were very unhappy. So I ordered some Stress Coat on line, added a full tank dose right away, did a few water changes (using the Stress Coat) and within a week they were shiny and happy again. I'll never use anything else again. That's my story! Hope it helps.

I use this when I change the water, start a new tank or am healing a new fish or stressed one. It never clouds up the water nor causes any problems.

Using this product for four years, I have never had any disease outbreak, Ich outbreak, nothing (and yes I am pounding on the wooden desk when I say that) and it does give the tetras in my tank a shine. If you have diamond tetras, you will be amazed. I own two and the sparkling scales were enhanced with the use of this product. Of course, these spectacular results may also show because I use stress zyme in conjunction with this product. The two work great together.

Brilliant, brilliant product! This is by far my favourite water conditioner, especially the new version. The new version has all the goodies in the older one, but detoxifies ammonia, and is better at chlorine and chloramine. I find this product really useful for healing fins, and I always add it with new fish.
