Python - No-Spill Clean and Fill Aquarium Kits
This is a back saver! No more carrying buckets of water dumping it out, or filling. So much easier running this, and makes cleaning a breeze! It doesn't take up much space either. Every aquarist needs this!
I take care of 4 tanks in our office. The Python, coupled with 100 ft of hose, is a godsend. It allows me to do proper water changes on all the tanks each week, without wasting time filling buckets or jugs.
I don't think I would own a fish tank without the Python. It makes weekly water changes and cleaning a breeze! I also be sure to add my water conditioner before refilling the tank to be sure the bad things in tap water are eliminated as soon as possible. My fish love to play in the water and bubble stream when I refill, too! This is a must have for anyone with a larger fish tank. Best purchase you can make.
Don't own a fish tank without getting a Python. It makes weekly water changes easy and takes the “chore” out of it. I do a loop around the tap when connecting to the faucet as the plastic valve is a weak point. One of the best accessories you can have.
I love my python! I have had mine for over 10 years and it's working perfectly! The company was even nice enough to e-mail me a link to cleaning instructions. I've needed minor replacement parts (the little white connector to the sink faucet) only about twice, and a bit of build up, but I love mine. The only time I don't is when I have lived with really low water pressure.
This product is amazing! It is the best invention for aquariums. I can have my 100 liter cleaned, water changed, and filled back up in less than a half an hour. I think it is really ingenious that you are cleaning the substrate at the same time that you are removing the water. Before I got this I was always afraid I would break my 340 liter aquarium by leaning all of that weight of the bucket on the side if the aquarium while I poured the water in, because the tank is too tall for me to lift up a 20 liter bucket of water that high. I no longer have back pains or musty smelling carpet! I like how I barely even have to get my hands wet. Changing the water is no longer considered a chore for me.
This product is a must have for every aquarium owner. I used to have a 20 gallon sitting on top of a five foot tall firewood bunker, making it quite the reach with the bucket. My sister told me about the Python and that was my birthday present, and perhaps, one of my favorites. But the first time I used it, the white plastic piece that attaches to your faucet stripped out (possibly because I tightened it a little too much). The same thing happened to my sister's, and that meant I had to purchase a replacement. If you buy one or ever have this problem, do not buy another plastic piece. Go with the brass one, it comes with all the rubber o-rings and will last forever, and they are cheap. So my advice for that would be to get the brass piece, otherwise the unit will blow off under pressure in the middle of the vaccuming which means the hose will go to the floor with water thundering out of it, and one wet situation. But don't get me wrong, this product is exceptional, just you need to spend four bucks to get the brass adapter, or otherwise it's temporarily back to buckets, and that's no fun. I give this product two thumbs up.
