Hagen - Dynaflo Power Filters

I bought the Dynaflo 10 for my 6 gal tank. Sure it's a bit strong, but it was on special for $20 (*very* cheap for Australia) and I couldnīt resist. Works like a charm. I only have two minor quibbles with it - there is no lid and the filter media it comes with sucks! Both were easily fixed though. I have a piece of plastic sitting on the top to prevent too much evaporation, and I'm using Aquaclear sponge and no-name filter floss (at a total of $2). All up, it's a neat little power filter, perfect for a beginner. I give it an 8/10.

This filter is quite good. I can't say it's the best, but I know I'm not gonna take any risks in getting another filter - I'll stick to this one. Overall I give it a 7 out of 10.

I have two of these filters that are about 10 years old and still working fine. I'll agree that the current is strong.
