This plant requires bright lights in order for healthy growth. CO2 is a plus as with any high light plant. It grows thick and branchy and quite fast given the proper parameters of light and CO2. It sprouts numerous side shoots which should be trimmed and replanted. It does tend to grow short strands of algae, but can be dealt with by SAE. Beautiful background plant for large aquariums. My tetras and rams love playing and hiding in the dense growth of this plant. Recommended for large aquariums.
