This plant is very very easy to grow, and grows well under a wide range of conditions. It can turn a dark red on top. It sends out runners at a prodigious rate, even with less than 2 wpg and no CO2 injection. Forms a very nice dense bush. This is one of my favorites, and I've cultivated at least 40 different species.

Gayii is a fairly easy plant to grow and propagate. My tetras (glowlights and black skirts) love to spawn in it because of its thin leaves. Make sure to add iron supplements to your tank to bring out its pretty bronze-red color.
