I have one of these is my 52 litre community tank. I feed it flakes. They are really easy to keep, it is an amazing fish to watch, and it can clean off the algae very well!

I have 4 of these plecs, peacefully sharing a 15 litre aquarium with a male Betta. I find that they prefer to be kept in small groups. Every other day I'll drop 2 algae pellets in for them to share. Great fish.

I have one of these in a 70 litre tank with a pit bull pleco, which it ignores completely. It is a very quiet fish that spends most of it time rasping away at my bog wood. I have had mine for over a year in a tank with a pH of 7.2, so it seems flexible in the water parameters it will tolerate. A lovely coloured fish with golden dashes on a dark brown background and a white belly. I recommend this fish for any newcomer to the hobby looking for their first dwarf suckermouth.
