Are the Seaclone 100 protien skimmers any good as far as operation and waste consumption, I'm setting up a 55gal reef tank and at the moment on a somewhat slim budget and I was wondering if this skimmer is a good investment. Any help would be appreciated.

Just based on most reviews I've seen Prizm protein skimmers are the best. Some people say seaclone suck.

If thats the price range your going after I would suggest the prizm. Its probably the best type of skimmer for the range. There are a lot better skimmers out there but they can run into the several hundreds.
