Gday guys
Totally new to ponds. I'm planning a pond to go in a planter. It will be about 2.5m long by 1.5 wide and 0.5 deep (metres) .
What way is the best to construct it? Just a pond liner with rocks around the edge or cement better?.
Should there be soil on the bottom? I want water plants but don't like the pots.
What plants grow best, will aquarium plants like java fern grow? Water shouldnt get below 15 degrees (celcius). Will plants roots break through the liner?
Should it be in shade or sun?
Should the soil be substrate used in aquariums?
Water changes?
Waterfalls good or bad? Questions Questions Questions Smile
I'm guessing the concepts between aquariums and ponds are similar but just need clarification.
Thankyou in advanced.
