Thanks to everyone for all the replies and feedback, it is greatly appreciated!! I remember reading somewhere that the cubes messed with water quality as well. I think the idea of portioning the food out is great and will have my friend come over twice while I am gone.
Again, my thanks for all of the feedback! Off to Vegas and the Grand Canyon!!
