I bought wardley freeze dried tubifex worms. They say on some sites that they can carry pahtogens? yes or no? How can tey sell a product that is diseased?

any and all types of fish food could carry pathogens, but tubifex worms are more known for carrying diseases and germs and things...

I've heard that live tubifex are known to carry disease. I would assume the freeze dried kind is safe. I never had any problems from using it.
