I've been wanting to add a conk shell to my tank even before I got this new tank. Finally after I found one in my house of all places, I must have picked up it years ago and forgot about. I'm not sure if how I should go about preparing this shell for my tank. Should I boil it, soak it or what?

I think but I'm not sure that conch shell and all shells slowly dissolve into your water raising your water hardness. Although this is fine for hardwater fish its not liked by softwater fish eg amazon fish. Mind you, I don't hink shells would make that much difference.
I would just prepare it by boiling and scrubbing.
