I know that paradisefish love having floating plants in their water.....but do dwarf gouramis? Also, how much floating plants is "too much?"
But if you tame me, then we shall need each other....You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed.

Yes, dwarf gouramis like floating plants and considering how shy they can be, I don't know if there is such a thing as "too much" (unless they can't wave those neat little thread-like fins....).

Since they are both labyrinth fish they would probably like almost the exact same thing. I think too much would be if you looked in the top you would only see green... I would probably make it so that half the tank has the floating plants. I think that if real plants were that close to the hood and light it might cause algae. But I might be wrong. You could just take the ancor off of fake plants and float those.

why do they like the floating plants so much?
I like danios. I also like cichlids and shrimp and tetras and gourami and... this could go on for a while.
