OK, I'm not exactly sure where to post this, but it's a tank ailment so I figured this seemed like a good enough forum.

I'm running a 33 gallon tank at the moment containing simply an oscar and a pleco. I've got an aquaclear 200 filtering it. Over the last few months I've been noticing little bits of black fungus starting to grow on the sides of the tank. I'd promptly clean it off, but after a while it would soon come back. I went away for 3 weeks and when I returned the black moss had dominated the rocks in the aquarium, started to grow on the gravel, and was very eccentric on the glass. If anyone could point me in the direction of a treatment that can get rid of this fungus, or maybe suggest a new filter, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

When I was getting that algae type in my cichlid tank I clean my filter really good and a did good sized water change. That took care of it just fine.
