I notice a lot of you guys prefer ebo-jager heaters.. what size do I need for my 20g tank?

I live in phoenix az, I keep my room at around 78-80 degrees... can I keep them without a heater for about a week? Until I get sufficient funds to purchase one? Thanks guys.

It's usually a matter of preference, but I use Visi Therm submersable heaters. Also, your fish should be fine as long as you gradually raise the heat when you do get a new heater so as not to shock them. Say over the period of a few hours or so.

It does. Thank you very much. They will be without a heater until sometime next week. Then I should be able to get one.

Does the Airconditioning still run at night or does the house cool down?

I wouldn't think that you'd even have the heater coming on right now. If room temp is 79-80, with lights on the tank is a bit warmer. What is the tank temp first thing in the morning?

The room is constantly air conditioned, even at night. The tank temp is usually 78-79 in the morning.

You don't need to be in a hurry at all, not yet.

Until the room temperature at night goes a few degrees below 78, the tank should be stable at room temp or above. Here in TX that will occur sometime around Oct, but I'll plug in my heaters later this month maybe.

I visited Phoenix in April and it was very cool at night, jacket weather, so you must be expecting cooler nights soon.

Yea, it stays pretty hot here for a while... and this year is sucky as far as weather goes. I will replace the heater asap.
