I'm thinking of getting one of these babies for my future 2 foot cube project. Its about a 50 gal. Any way the filter is in the proffesional heated range, but I'm wondering what exactly do they mean by heated? Does it mean that the water is heated when it goes through the filter, therefore being a filter and a heater in one? Or is it something else.
thanks

There are a number of new heaters that are coming out with built in heaters. This way the water is heated as it's drawn into the filter.

there's a small heating element, much like a kettle at the bottom of the canister which heats the water as it flows through it and up into the main filter body.
www.eheim.com have diagrams of the filter in question if you want to see the exact layout.
