Hi everyone,
I've had my first plant tank set up for about two weeks now, I purchased a variety of plants from the local shop including some chinese ivy. When I purchased it, it looked good, was completely green, etc etc. But within the past week, the bottom leaves have turned brown and started to thin and fall off, and the rest of the plant in sprouting roots from every area of the plant(s). I was wondering if this was normal(the bottom leaves are growing back), and if I should move the ivy near my driftwood so that it has something to wrap around?(Or even if that would work...) Thanks in advance!

Hey Bigfat,
I wouldn't worry about those leaves dropping off. It's quite common with a variety of plants for some leaves to be shed as the plant 'settles in'. As you have said the bottom leaves will grow back quite quickly. You should remove all of the dead and dying leaves from the plant as these just sap energy needed for new growth.
Hope it all goes well! Very Happy
