Just wondering, as I'm taking my 15G down and swapping it for something else, what would be an ideal tank size for a pair (or mabye 3) dwarf puffers?

Thanks
Jack

They nip at each other in close quarters. I would say they need 5.5 each or a 15g for three minimum.

Do they nip even when they are young?

I used to keep 5 in a 6 gallon, and then moved them into a 10 gallon, and upped the number to 7. Never had a bit of trouble. The tank was stuffed full of plants and they were fed live & frozen brine shrimp every couple of days.

They are territorial with each other, so space and hiding places are essential, but if you wanted to keep 3 in a 5g, that would be fine.

3 in a five gallon is perfect, thanks Shawna.
