I'm thinking of changing my 'rena' xp2 canister filter for one of those decent 'Eheim' one's . My tank is a 210 Ltr , which I think is a little over stocked . I'm thinking of a professional 2 OR a wet and dry one , but which one is best . At the moment I'm cleaning the xp2 out once a week which is one of the reasons I'm changing over . Are the Eheim's better at keeping waste down to a minimum ie less cleaning ?.
I have noticed that the Eheim's use a different set up to the normal filters you can buy ie they use gravel stuff compared to pads . Is this really any good for keeping the rubbish out of the main tank ?
Also , I've noticed that they have internal heaters in some of them , do the wet/dry ones have this , as I'm using two heaters at the moment , which I would prefer to stick with ?
