I have had 2 weather loach in a tank together for 4 years,
They are both 9" long.
Recently one has changed colour to a light brown / cream and is quite fat.
It appears OK when swimming round the tank.
Is it pregnant.
Do they lay eggs, and if so where, I.e in graval or on plants.

I don`t have any personal experience with the weather loach, but since I`ve been thinking of aquiring one, I`ve been reading up a bit on them.
They spawn on plants with sinuous movements, but those spawnings have been supposedly accidental (which would mean that it's very rare). Since they are not livebearers, I can`t see that yours is pregnant. If I were you, I`d read up and try to figure out what the colour change would be. I have no idea. Anyway good luck.
