Havnt been around for a while, but this one has me completely stumped.

A small angelfish we have seems to have been attacked. It has 2 small punctures on the gill plate, another in the dorsal, and yet another (not quite a puncture, possibly a missing scale) near the tail.

The angel seems a bit stressed, but I think it should be treatable now that we have a few extra tanks to treat it in.

But what did this? The suspects are:

Pleco- Largest thing in there, but I don't think his mouth could puncture anything. I suppose it could have gored it with some spines, but the wounds are widely seperated.

Red finned shark- its has to be the most agreesive fish there, but are they capable of puncture wounds?

Kisser fish- Doubt it, but I would appretiate it if anyone could find a way for me to blame it Smile

Other inhabitants- Corries, Gourami, Larger angel, a few remaining tetras, a guppy and swordtail.

26 gallon. Still working on this overstocking issue with the parents which should explain the all the stragglers of former schools...

Angel, gourami or shark could easily have caused physical damage.

Kisser fish s a gourami, could have done it as well.

Might happen again, may not happen again. sounds like aggression due to overcrowding.
