Here's the scoop: my "plant light" is due to be changed. But what should I get as a replacement? What's the best light for me?

Tank is 20 gallons, with mollies, killifish, pleco, and cories. Plants are java moss, hornwort, and a strand of un-killable rotala indica.

I have the tank at 1wpg right now. Any help?

I use interpet light bulbs, it is a really nice light bulb, two of those made my 29g flourish with hard to grow plants and it is under-lighted. the name of the interpet light bulbs is daylight or glow something, it works great, the other is zoo med brand.

I used a 60W power compact lighting unit for my tank, and along with a small 5W dawn/dusk tube I have 3.25wpg. Because I wanted a high wpg, power compacts were the only option because if I had chosen normal tubes, I would not have been able to afford(or fit) those tubes. I use 2 tubes, a tropical light and a plant light.

How much are the compact tubes compared to the generic type? Are they around the same amount or more? How much are the ballasts as well?

Yeah I think they are more expensive, especially the ballasts. For my whole setup I paid
