Hello

I have two plants in my aquarium that I am confused about. They were both sold as Java fern, one attached to a piece of Driftwood, and one not. But they look different! One is really tall (some leaves up to 9in long), with ribbon-like leaves. It has the classic (I think) brown hairy roots of the Java fern. The other, already attached, plant has pointed oval leaves on short stems, almost like a miniature Amazon Sword. It is, overall, about 4 inches high.

I know that there are varieties of Java Fern - can anyone either identify these two, or point me to a site with pictures of the various types? Confused

Cheers!

That's the chap! Very Happy The Anubis must have snuck in with the Microsorum in the shop!

Thanks very much, naclh20fly! (Cool name, but isn't it something used to catch fish rather than keep them?)

If you have a link or two that would be helpful to newbies then I'd be grateful - it's quite hard to find good sites amongst all the, er, not so good... Wink

Cheers!
