Can anyone shed a possible cause here?

Fairly new tank, cycling with Danios and Guppies, but have never seen ammonia or nitrites other than 0ppm, likely due to the fact this is a second hand tank which was emptied (previous occupants went to LFS) and then brought wet to our house, then refilled. Nitrates now 5-10 ppm.

This morning, everything fine, fed all fish, usual feeding frenzy from all parties. This evening, came home from all day event to find one of the Zebra Danios floating. No sign of any disease on it, nor any damage to fins.

We did have one other Danio jump out and cook under the light, so is it possible than another fish is harassing these smaller Danios (both have been the smaller of the set), or is there another possible explanation?

Grateful for any suggestions/assistance and (especially) advice.

Cheers!

More detailed tank conditions:

Tank conditions:
pH =7.8
Ammonia =Zero
Nitrite= Zero
Nitrate =5 - 10
Temp =26C
Lighting = 20 W
29 G tank (planted)
GH = 16 dGH
KH = 7 dKH

4 Danios left (1 Zebra, 3 leopard) and 4 Guppies (3 Female & 1 Male) Male Guppy only added yesterday, and he is fine (if over-familiar with the ladeez...)

Cheers!

I once fed floating food that was a bit too large for the danios and one choked on it, guess it got stuck in its throat. Possible?

Shocked

That's terrible! What a thought! 'cos I missed scrunching a bit up?

Now I feel bad... Crying or Very sad

Is this a common thing, or is there another possible explanation?

I have questioned the other fish, but they're saying nothing...

Thanks for the response, anonapersona!

Cheers!

Late night update from UK...

One guppy (female) is now looking a little slow. She has started a habit of wandering up to the outlet of one of the uprisers from the UGF, where she just hangs, out of the stream of bubbles, until something disturbs her.

Her dorsal fin is kind of slack, not erect like the other two females. Should we get her out of there, or is ther some kind of treatment we should be giving the whole tank?

Getting worried now, so any advice really gratefully accepted Confused

Cheers!
