There is this tank, at Petsmart, it is 2g and square, it is shaped like a computer monitor. I LUV it!!! If I get it what should I put in it??? It will have 1 or 2 plants and the smallest ornament I can find(Again, if I get it).
Are there any saltwaters I could put in if I make it a saltie? I probably won't, but still. It would be cool.
Any ideas, all welcome. Very Happy

You can put a betta in that tank. That's all I know of that can go in that tank. Saltwater fish require about 30 gallons to start off with one.

In my latest Aquarium Fish magazine they had very detailed directions on how to seal off and make a tank out of an old computer monitor. With flat screen monitors hitting the scene, big time (dropping prices), there are tons and tons of abandoned 17 inch monitors around me. According to this article, a correctly done 17 inch monitor/fishtank piece holds nearly 10 gallons of water. I'd never really liked the look before, but if you could do it correctly and hold that much water...you'd have a lot more possibilities for the tank.

Note, the project was labor intensive, although it didn't seem to need a lot of fancy tools or experience.

Just for fun, how could I get my hands on the article about 17in monitors becoming a 10gal aquarium?

Buy the magazine? Razz

I just received it a few days ago, so it should be the one available in book stores now. It was a featured article listed on the front of the cover...should be an easy find.

You could probably also put in about four or five Candiru catfishes [AKA the only vertabrate parasite to humans]. A little dangerous [hehe...], but they look really cool.
