Hi, (me again)

I found this protein skimmer at the pet store for $30 because it was cracked. I sealed the crack and installed the thing. (normal price $60)
It's an Amiricale SL2. It recommended at Hagen 201 power head ( that I bought) and a small airpump, I have had this laying around.

when I started it, the next morning I saw some big sudsy looking bubbles coming up, followed by some yellow/brown stuff (good ?)
Now the skimmer is not making any bubbles, and quite a few are getting in the tank(more than orginally).
Is this normal? It didn't come with any adjustment instructions.

Does anyone use this kind of skimmer, or nknow in general how to adjust one?

Thanks in advance
Waffleman

Bubbles into the tank usually means you have it set too high. Adjsut it back down till you get rid of the bubble.

Your amount of green sludge will vary on your bio-load. It will also cycle some days heavier than others.

If its also set too high the collection cup wll fill too rapidly with just water.
