I would imagine you could plumb it like the fish stores do. You would have to drill out the glass though, which is risky.

Couldn't you also use the siphon principle, and get something big and flexible (like wider diameter than siphon tubing, but same concept), and then just anchor it so each end is below the water level in both aquariums? Once you fill with water, the arch would stay filled as long as both ends were in the water, and the water level in both aquariums would equalize.

I sure would like to see how you teach the fish to swim up and through the arch though!

Maybe you could use something like this, but without the ugly wire reinforcements:

I think as long as it says "food grade" it is safe for fish, but I may be wrong on that.
