Love the forum, lots of dedicated and knowlegeable advice.

I'm considering putting 100g aquarium on the second floor of our house built in the late 80's. The aquarium will be running perpendicular the the floor joists, but not against a load bearing wall.

Obviously my main concern is weight--I have gotten yes and no answers from builders and fish store guys....lots of help.

Anyone have any experience??

I would not recommend setting that aquarium up unledd it's against a load bearing wall. The main concern of course is that you don't want to wake up one day and find your tank on the first floor. Shocked The second one is even if the floor holds it will develope a sag. This will shorten the life of the floor and cost you some big dollars in the long run. I personally would think twice about that set up.
