Well, many a fish are getting busy up in the fishroom (well, okay, just bettas and convicts...but still..) and I just thought I'd share a few precious memories with everyone.

A couple baby bettas, one is peeking out from behind the rock.

The best shot I got of one the baby bettas all night.

This is a spawn from thursday, from a completely different pair of bettas. The eggs are circled in red.

One of my newer baby convicts, it's body is already taking shape.

Excellent photos fishboy! Amazing how, just as humans, almost all baby fish look alike Smile

Well, I just got a new little toy today. My dad's company was throwing out an old microscope, but he kept it and brought it home in case I had a use for it. Well, I found one. I couldn't hold the microscope up to the tank, but I did take the eyepiece and use it since it has 6x magnification. I got a very clear shot of my newest baby bettas by holding my camera up to the eyepiece(nearly scratching my camera lens in the process, got to be careful). The white thing they are clinging on the the styrofoam cup the male used to make the bubblenest.

Also, while I looking through this, I saw some very teeny critters. It was amazing to me, it was like a little society of microscopic animals thriving in a little 10 gallon aquarium. This pic doesn't do them any justice, because you can't see any of the detail, but just so you get an idea...

All of those little white specs are the critters. I don't know why, it's just all so interesting to me..... Smile
