Hey Locus, how did you get your backdrop to be so black? Did you paint it? Maybe I should paint mine too rather than using a cardboard =) If so, what type of paint did you use? Thanks

As for the background, I am not sure if this is what you did, but I have used car window tint from Walmart and places like that. I just get the darkest they have "limo tint" usually and that makes a world of difference.

The background is an aquarium backdrop... I'm not sure about elsewhere in the world, but you can get one of the plastic backgrounds here that stick onto the outside of the tank that is dark blue on one side, black on the other.

it is easy to get the back drop to look so black when you know what your doing with the camera. Make sure you shoot in a completely dark room iwth only the aquarium light on and make sure you don't use a flash. Excelent tank.

Hmm havent really looked around for a pure black backdrop because I thought they only came in the photograph one. I'll go look for one when I go shop for new plants to do my tank. Thank!
