went to my local fish strore and found a nice batch of fire mouths. They could not determine the sex but picked ones that look diffrent from each other. I have one thats 3 inches that has the firemouth look with some nice blue tint on its fin and one with just the firemouth look no blue tint. On this description alone can any one tell if they are male/female also they costme 3.99 each was that a good deal.

No, but I know that males have a darker red tint on their bellies and females have little if none. The male when mature will also have an extended dorsal fin.
