for lighting I have a 50/50 bulb, half white light, half blue light, not sure how many watts. for the flow its just the small filter that came with the tank (it was a kit). one of these days I might get a bigger filter for it say , one made for a ten gallon to increase the flow. _________________ 29 gallon:

Here are a few more pics of my mother's forever in process tank. I'm looking forward to adding more live rock - and shall we say more "natural color".. For the marine purists out there - it was sheer torture letting her get her "soo cute!!" novelty decorations.
Hopefully you will all see the big cleaner shrimp hiding behind the live rock there...oh and as you guys more then likely guessed there is a "bubble wall" in there.

Did you use a small heater too?
Just curious. I'm thinking of setting up something similiar. |

Well yes - of course I have a heater in there. My heater is techn. for a 20 gallon tank - mainly cause I didn't have a heater that was ment for anything smaller. It's just set quite low. For me it works great, temp is always maintained the key is balencing it with the lighting. _________________ 29 gallon:

A nice looking tank but I would put a background on it (some sort of blue) more live rock and a bunch of light. Depending on your light some zoos and algaes would look awesome in there |

I agree get some more Live Rock and put a light blue background, which you could use poster board for that. _________________ Life is better with fish

neptune what dose your starfish feed on? I love cleaner shrimp but their highly expensive here in australia(I have heard of them being over $100!!!) even peppermint shrimp are inbetween 20-30$ each!
great little tank. it is most likely that your lighting is an 8watt 12 inch floro. you could probably have some mushroomcorals in there happily and they would look great!

Thanks for all your comments/suggestions!! I am planning on adding some small corals as soon as the tank gets a bit older.
The starfish was a great little find - he happened to be @ my girlfriend's LFS. He feeds on algaes and once a week he(?) gets a bit of shrimp directly to ensure that he is feeding.
I will be sure to keep you guyz posted. Thanks a lot! _________________ 29 gallon:
