OK.. I'll make sure to explain this very clearly so we don't have issues.

This is my 5 gallon saltwater tank that I made for my Mom. Currently it has only 1 (and will only have 1) clownfish named Carlton. 1in Carlton has 6 other roommates which include 4 crabs, 1 snail, and 1 cleaner shrimp. The tank includes 3 lbs of live rock and 10 lbs of live sand. Water specs are utterly flawless.

Carlton is currently being housed here until he gets bigger and then he is moving into a larger Marine tank.

It was a 5 gallon kit bought at my LFS. In fact my LFS helped me set the tank up. Filtration has primarily been the live rock & sand which acts as a natural biological filtration system. As well I have a small mini filter running for support. The small crabs also help to airate and rid the tank of waste. 2g water changes are done every week. I understand that the standard proceedure for marine aquariums is to cycle for about a month. Which works excellent for larger tanks. But I decided to take a risk and go with a smaller tank. My water specs were perfect after 5 days so I put a damsel in. With no hinderences, I removed the damsel and added Carlton 2 days later. I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion about marine cycling -and I respect that. But I know what worked for me. I'm pretty lucky considering that my LFS specializes in smaller marine tanks. So the tank has been up and running for 2.5 weeks and doing beautifully - Carlton has been the newest addition and he is swimming quite happily and heathily.

Nice 5 gallon saltwater tank. Do you plan on adding any more live rock?

One question. If you don't mind answering, I was wondering about how much it cost you to set that up? I am looking to do a 10 gallon similar to that and was just curious. Thanks.
