This female guppy has been pretty inactive since the past few days, so I moved her into a "hospital tank" with fungus medicine added to the water. She has developed this reddish part inside her body, which is clearly visible in the photo. It looks to me like she's bleeding internally. Her tail looks a little "ripped" too, but that's not the biggest worry. How should I treat this disease? What is the sickness, anyways? I've never had this happen over my years of raising fish, so I've no idea. Thanks for any help! I don't want my poor fish to die...
The picture isn't that great...but you can see the reddish "bleeding." Today, I noticed her skin is like dark all over, and swims weirdly. |

Can you give us some more info on your tank? Water parameters? How long has it been set up?
Judging by the fin rot and the coloration, it seems like red pest. While in quarantine, you should feed the gup very minimally while treating with a broad spectrum anti-biotic. Once you do begin feeding, you should start off with an antibiotic food to help purge out the fish's digestive track.
Hope that helps _________________ Best,
