I was wondering what dry food types do people use in their feeding regime for mix tropical fish types? Anyone suggest what ingredient are the best and what dry food brands does anyone keep?

Any information appreciated

Omega One is a very high quality staple dry food. My female betta had always been fed the Hikari betta pellets, which she took readily. She also was fed bloodworms and other frozen foods on occasion. When I put an Omega One flake in her water, she immediately attacked it with ferocity and after that she would no longer accept the Hikari pellets, but only the Omega One flakes.

I've recently started using New Life Spectrum, though it is not as readily available. I have been happy with the Omega One but the NLS came highly recommended so I thought I'd give it a try, just for a change.

I had noticed a marked difference in the color and vitality of my fish after switching to Omega One, and changing to NLS hasn't made as big a difference -- these two premium foods are comparable in quality IME and I would recommend either or both as a staple diet.
Happy fishkeeping!
