I just set up my first tank and had 3 small goldfish in it. The largest of the three took to nipping the smallest ones fins. It ended up eating almost one quarter of it's tail in 24 hours. I took the cannibal fish back to the fish shop. It's been about a week now, my question is will my goldfishes tail ever grow back? He doesn't seem to have gotten sick so I figure that he must be okay. Also he only has one eye. I got him like that. Does this happen often?

hi the gourami which took a chunk out of my female guppys tail has slowly been growing back, so I should guess that yours would too.is there any fungus or anything on the area where its been bit? that could cause a problem
