I hav a 30 gallon freshwater aquarium. In it are two pearl gouramis, a dwarf gourami, a platy, a pleco, two swortails and a dwarf african frog. My Dwarf gourami is fairly new and he some holes in his head. At first, I stupidly ignored them, that is when they were really tiny. Now they got bigger, so I am treating the fish and I was wondering if there is anything, and I mean ANYTHING I can do the speed up recovery. I am trying to improve the quaility of my water condition, and I am also using medi-boost to speed up recovery. Is hole in the head disease contagious? please help! Any advice will be greatly apprieciated.

I think that hole-in-the-head disease isn't contagious unless your water continues to degrade thus causing it in other fish. One think about your stock, the pleco will be to big for your tank.

Thankyou. Perhaps I shall give the pleco away once he grows (my friend has a 50 gallon tank)

What are your water parameters?

Hole in the Head, which as far as I know only commonly occurs in cichlids, is very often percipitated by high nitrate levels.
