I don't know much about butterfly fish, so I'll leave that to others..

But, birchirs and ropefish need tanks that are much larger than any of the tanks you have mentioned.

so what should I do my friend had to get rid of the knife and sll I have is a 20 gallon at least I think I have 2 tanks ill tell you the dimentions if you tell me the gallons.

1. length 30" buy width 12" buy highth 12"

2. length 24" buy width 12" buy highth 16"

The first is a 20 gallon long, the second is a standard 10 gallon.

what about some killifish? those can be aggressive...convicts...other archocentrus/cryptotheros... lots of options. I believe you have a 20 gallon High tank and a 20 gallon LONG. a standard 10 gallon is 20"X12"X12" n'est pas?

PUFFERFISH!

red eye puffers are very neat, they only get about 3 inches long.

I like this for general information about different species of puffers.


problem with having a puffer, is that you'll probably have to make it a species-only tank, so you'll have an aggressive fish that's fun to watch eating, but that's all you'll have in there. I think it's well worth it, but you may not.
