To add a sad statement to this topic - we came home last night to find Darth, my black longhaired cat, had been killed on the road and was in a neighbour's front garden. This is the chance I take letting my cats out - but of the three years he has spent with me - he was much happier the last year as an indoor/outdoor cat rather than an indoor cat.
It's a personal choice for you and your cat - lots of arguments for and against. Thinking of anyone else who has lost a loved friend in this way.  |

I am so sorry about loosing your good friend. I know how heartbroken it can be. Before I started keeping mine in the house there was an incident that happened in California. I had let mine out one night and within an hour a dog got hold of her, you know the rest of the story. I wish I could bring all of the strays into the house but can't. Finally 1 went to a good home, here's hoping and praying the others will find new homes in which they are loved.
