How many south american puffers can go in a 10 gallon tank? If so what about some cory cats? I know that puffers are some what agressive but I know nothing about South American Puffers.

RECAP:
How many south american puffers to a 10g?
If any puffers can some small cories go on in as well?
And if anybody has stories or care basics please share!

Thanks
Mo

uhm.......

http://www.aquahobby.com/gallery/e_Colomesus_asellus.php

that says 100L, or at least 20 gallons.......

and everything I've seen says they get to be 4-6 inches........

just do a search for "Colomesus Asellus" and you can probably get a lot more information than that.

Yeah, I think 20gal is bare minimum depending on how many you want and the cories are a gamble especially with so little space. I really want puffers too....I'm jonesing for a new tank (addiction) but all I have is my 10 gal left. Let me know what you do with your new puffers.....when you get them that is. Confused

SAPs get too big and need more swimming space than a 10g provides. Pygmy puffers would be great in a 10G though. I would advise all puffs to be kept as species only setups - they would certainly see a cory as a nice meal.
