| Thanks everyone. It has improved somewhat since putting it deep in the the center of the tank. I put plastic wrap over the open space by the power filter. Calibratioin may be an issue. I'll just have to see where it settles out after all your helpful suggestions. Thanks! |

| I'm really disappointed with my heater. I have a Hydor Theo heater stat (300w) and even when it is turned to its lowest (21 C) my tank temp is 26-27 C. I expected it to be slightly out but not be 5-6 C! |

| After adding a mylar sheet to insulate the back of the tank, letting the thermostat "set," and putting the heater deep in the outflow, my tank is 81F at night and 83F during the day. I'm worried this is too much fluctuation for the fish to tolerate. What do y'all think? Is this as good as heaters get? Is 2 degrees 2 much? |
