With zero information on what type or brand of bulb you were using, I can say with complete and utter confidence that I am 100% not sure.
Could you help us out a little? _________________

Hi jeremy,
(Tula, how can you be so sure )
Jeremy, is your light a long tube with 2 prongs on each end?
If so, read the writing on the tube. Does it say C.W. or cool white and are there letters and numbers like T-12 or T-8.
Just to get the ball rolling _________________ Think like a fish |

Whoops my bad.
OK here goes, brand name - Eclipse
Yes it does have to prongs at EACH end
It is a F18T8 Natural daylight bulb, "Made in China" for Marineland.
Measurements - ~58cm excluding prongs. I'm guessing its a standard lightbulb for a 33 gallon, cheap canopy, cheap bulb. |

A 33 gallon tank bulb is probably a 24". Wal Mart has all the bulbs you need. Just find a 24". I'm using 2 Lights of America 24" 20watts from Wal Mart.
Wal Mart sells GE "plant and aquarium" bulbs whch are the same EXACT light as the marineland bulb over in pets. _________________

Ahh thanks for the info david...I just went to Walmart to pick up a bulb, pretty good quality for a decent price. I can totally tell the difference between the stock lightbulb and this one...WAY better quality! Most of the bulbs I went around looking for were about $25-35...but this one was for 12 |
