My Ammonia in my new tank is stabilizing at about 1.5 ppm, and is due to start decreasing soon. I wanted to know how long it takes for the Ammonia in a ten gallon tank with ten inches of fish and 1 week old to go down?

I also wanted to know if it's okay to use NovAqua and Aquasafe in the same tank at once. So far, I've had no problem with the fish, and they are all less stressed. Cool

It's fairly hard to say, especially without knowing what your other parameters look like (especially pH). Also, there is the matter of how much you feed. Further, a great deal depends upon how often you are doing water changes.

Ballpark, I would say you should expect to see them fall within a week. Then it's on to nitrites...

It is probably not a problem but also probably not necessary to combine these two products. The Novaqua is helpful for reducing stress and dechlorinates, so it is fine on its own.

AmQuel Plus will help control the toxicity of the ammonia and nitrite, and works very well with NovAqua. I would recommend stopping the use of the Aquasafe, and conditioning with AmQuel Plus and Novaqua during the cycle.
