How many gallons is your tank? Does your Volatin (I think?) cause any problems with your other fish? _________________ Life is better with fish

Click on Your Tanks, third link down on the left column of these pages. That's the Tank of the Month section of the site.
Funny how many members don't notice that this board here is just one of the sections of a much greater website _________________ Are you a Fish-HAVER or a Fish-KEEPER?

IC, yeah I meant AoA TotMs, not particular to this forum. With all due respect, I do have some very serious concerns with the portrayal of this system as a "role model", which a TotM would imply. It's seriously overstocked, for one. It advocates the collection of huge corals simply to kill and bleach them for another. Lastly, the pictures portray different fish, with what appears to be some fish missing, and possibly dead. I thought we were, in this hobby, progressing well beyond the tanks of the pre-Berlin era. And, FWIW, that PBT as some pretty strong stress fades if the photo is accurate. _________________ Kieron Dodds

If you read the TOTM page carefully, and the accompanying Poll that was set up here on the board:
http://www.aquahobby.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=21122
You'll see that the idea was exactly to bring such issues up and raise awareness to them. There's no denying the FO tanks are still popular, and I'm not ready to condemn the style per se, but I believe these issues should be addressed by anyone wishing to take that route to keeping marine fish. Unfortunately this debate is not being conducted on the Poll topic itself, where it was intended...I might actually merge this topic with that one to correct this... _________________ Are you a Fish-HAVER or a Fish-KEEPER?
