| The movie was pretty good but it was nothing compared to the book. They cut out the funniest parts and altered it a bit too much. A good movie though. |

Do you know the history of 'Hitchhiker' because the book isn't even the first in the line. It started as a show on BBC radio 4 in 1978. To quote Douglas, the Book 'the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy' was "a substantially expanded version of the first four episodes of the radio series, in which some of the characters behave in entirely different ways and others behaved in exactly the same ways but for entirely different reasons..." and other variations of the 'Guide' came on other forms of media as well .
So I say if they had stayed true to the book they wouldn't have stayed true to the great insanity that is the 'Guide'. All the fun would have been lost, not to mention that for just the first book the movie would have been Way long or Way to Edited for time, so YEA! them for not sticking to it IMHO _________________ Glitch your mind so chaos=logic

| I have to somewhat agree with you on adding stuff, they needed to do it in order to make it long enough. I just enjoyed the book more. Did you know they actually made a "Hitchhiker" towel? |

Oh I do think the book is better, but the movie could not have lived up to it no matter what. So I'm glad they didn't try to stay true to it.
No I didn't know there was a towel but it doesn't suprise me at all. I guess I'll have to look it up so I can get one just for fun. _________________ Glitch your mind so chaos=logic

Something most people don't know about the HHGTG movie is that Douglas Adams wrote in most of the adaptation's changes before he died. Like he's done with every new medium of the story, he alters it. I have yet to see the movie, though. I loved the books. _________________ If I were a man with gills, I would be a fish.

Hmmm. Watching a movie requires spendable money and I'm already late on my rent because of cash flow problems. It'll have to wait. _________________ If I were a man with gills, I would be a fish.

Just go steal some lady's purse JUST KIDDING
I'm sure there's a way, begging and pleading works, you could go play an instrament in the park (if your like me you'll get lots of money to STOP), same with singing, or just go sell something I hear a good kidney is worth a lot now a days Or if you have a significant other get them to treat you to the movie "because it would realy mean a lot" (is a good line to use.) _________________ Glitch your mind so chaos=logic
