I found this Aquarium cooler on Ebay

1/3 HP Via Aqua Aquarium Chiller / Water Cooler

Price range wise its OK but does anyone know if they are any good at maintaining a set temperature for say eight - ten weeks non-stop?

I have no experience with chillers. You might want to try a search through the marine section of this forum. Chillers are most often used on reef setups.

Hi, I ran a search on chillers and could only find logs on using bags of ice or adding cold water, both of which seem to carry a risk of undesirable temperature swings. I hadn't considered the reef stablity aspect of marine tanks before, I was in the tentative stages of costing it out, guess I'll add a couple of hundred pounds to my estimates, thanks for responding, Smile
