Are clownloaches compatible with other loaches e.g Pakistan (Yoyo) loaches? I thought about mixing up the loach species.

Any information appreciated

I have clowns, yo yo's, zebra, and marble loaches all together. They love eachother. The clowns school the most, other than that they all mingle. Although When clowns get their full length I suspect you might want to separate them, but they grow so slow that that won't be for a looong time. Mine have only grown about an inch in 2 yrs. I feed them a lot, and they have plenty of space, so I know they are not stunted.

I'd 2 Clown and 2 Pakistan loach with a Hillstream loach.they loved each other and always swum in a group and lived in a cave...
Keeping a mixed group of loaches is an interesting idea.

Clown loaches would get along, possibly even like, your other fish. The thing about clown loaches is that they don't have regualar scales like most fish and are very succeptable to ich. It's also very hard to treat them for ich. I say go ahead and buy a clown loach, just make sure the entire tank, plus the loach, is healthy. Good luck!
