hey, got one of these filters, however I'd be running it BESIDE the tank. (not below the tank level)
how well do you think it'd work? will it work?
I sure hope so!

any input would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

It would only work if the filter intake tubing was above the filter still (which would mean that the intake would probably be near the surface of the water...but then again it depends on how high your aquarium is as well. Needless to say, you won't be able to get the filter intake higher than the filter in say a 10g aquarium).

The filter must be below the intake as the filter works on the principal of a siphon.
