I just got an Ebo-Jager 50 watt heater. On the outside, it says "submersible" yet on the directions in the box and on the heater itself it has a waterline with clear directions not to immerse more than this mark. Which is right? Is this some kind of law involvment that made them skew it like this?

Confused.

Thanks!

Submersable, sink away. Its apparently canadian politics (of all things) and regulations on the direction sheet.

I've heard that in the states, there is no watchdog company that forces Eheim (who took over EboJager) to put on the warning labels, even though the heaters are entirely submersible.
